Earlier this year, Informatics staff were consulted on their requirements for coursework submissions. Teaching Committee considered the results of the survey, along with computing and learning technology staff, and are investigating the feasibility of continuing to use Submit now that there are so many different methods of submission in use by staff across the School and the College.
At the recent Teaching Committee meeting it was agreed that Submit can be maintained for session 2019-20 on a case by case basis only and that plans should be made by staff using the service for future years when Submit will be retired.
ACTION: if you wish to use Submit for your course in 2019-20 please inform firstname.lastname@example.org – stating clearly why centrally provisioned services do not meet your needs.
The rationale behind this move, and the results of the survey, can be found here: Submit Requirements Survey Responses.
If you would like to discuss the affordances – and limitations – of centrally provisioned assignment tools, please do not hesitate to get in touch with the Informatics Learning Technology team.
