This OER was completed as part of the Digital Futures for Learning course on the MSc in Digital Education at the University of Edinburgh. The Digital Futures for Learning course explored the themes of Interfaces, Visibility and Sustainability in digital technology and the future of learning. This OER focuses on the theme of Visibility. Throughout this Open Educational Resource (OER), it is essential to encourage participants to delve deeper into the topics covered and consider the geographical implications of data in education. As they will see in this OER, no matter where they are, data is shaping education, even if the data does not originate from that location. Participants may also want to consider their own background when participating in this OER. 

This OER can be used for self-paced learning, providing individuals with the flexibility to explore the content at their own pace. However, the activities have been created to be facilitated by a leading instructor and designed for at least six participants. It aims to offer the possibility that through group discussions, educators, policymakers, and postgraduate students can learn from this OER and each other.
