Climate change: What can I do about it

I recently had a chat with a friend about energy suppliers which reminded me that there needs to be more awareness around green energy. We have been with Octopus Energy for over three years now and have no complaints – it is actually cheaper than our previous supplier! My friend recently switched to Bulb, another great supplier of green energy. I can only encourage you that if you can, please make the switch to green energy in your household. Both Octopus Energy and Bulb supply 100% green energy to your home and offset carbon emmissions through different projects and partnerships.

We as consumers hold the greatest power in our hands against climate change – our money. Choose green and ethical businesses whenever possible. Big companies that use fossil fuels and generally participate in environmentally damaging practices will continue to do so until they see their money go elsewhere. It is in our hands!

Thanks Miriam. I’m definitely going to look into using one of these suppliers when I move to my new house. I guess I’ll have to start with the existing ones and then make the switch once I’m settled. Good to hear that the cost isn’t higher, so there’s no reason not to switch!

It’s really a no brainer, isn’t it? They usually also do the switch for you and Bulb has a referal scheme, so if you know anyone who already is with them, you’d both get £50 credited.
