Miriam highlighted a recent programme on Channel 5 (Chris Packham: Plant a Tree to Save the World) to get the message out that the UK needs more trees.
The Woodland Trust is raising money to purchase tree packs, which schools and community groups can plant and maintain to help combat climate change. The project is also supported by Dame Judi Dench, John Humphrys, Clare Nasir, Martin Hughes Games and JB Gill. A donation of £15 will help plant up to 10 trees.

There are other organisations raising money to plant more trees, including the option to give a gift, for example:
- Trees for Life – re-wilding the Scottish Highlands – https://treesforlife.org.uk/
- Highland Titles – planting trees in the Caledonian Forest – https://www.highlandtitles.com/gifts/dedicate-a-tree/
- Trees4Scotland – planting trees in Teaghlach Wood – https://www.trees4scotland.com/store/plant-tree/
Or why not plant a tree yourself?
