Organised bike rides in and around Edinburgh

Cycling Edinburgh has a website with information on organised bike rides in or near Edinburgh.  They are run by local cycling clubs, groups and individuals, and are mostly free and open to all.  See http://www.cycling-edinburgh.org.uk/ for more information.  Their upcoming rides are:

Sunday 24 November – EasyCycle Half-Day Ride:   12-15 miles at a gentle pace with plenty of stops.  Suitable for less experienced riders and those who haven’t cycled for a while.  Mainly on bike paths and quiet roads and avoiding steep hills!

Sunday 1 December – Spokes moderately-paced ride of 40-45 miles:  Aimed at averagely-fit cyclist who rides regularly and is comfortable cycling for a reasonable period at 10-12 mph.

Saturday 14 December – Edinburgh 20-Milers:  Easy-to-moderate ride, suitable both for occasional cyclists and those with a little more experience.

Sunday 29 December – EasyCycle Half-Day Ride.
