The STEPforGGR project consists of a collection of world-leading experts in the fields of CFD, numerical modelling, photocatalysis, materials chemistry, chemical engineering, process engineering, membrane technology, Solar Udraft Tower (SUT) and Negative Emission Technology (NET). This is because of the universal nature of the ambitious objectives of the research programme. Understanding the combination of complex air flow in SUTs and multi-step PC process and developing an optimised solution for low gas concentrations is a huge challenge, which can only be tackled by a multi-disciplinary team. However, STEPforGGR’s seven partners have been chosen specifically to provide the complementary and necessary knowledge for realistically achieving these goals.
