Katherine Smith joined the Global Public Health Unit in the School of Social and Political Science at the University of Edinburgh as a new lecturer in January 2011. Prior to this she was a lecturer in Social Policy at the University of Bath and where she previously worked as a Research Fellow with Prof Anna Gilmore. During this time Katherine’s research has largely focused on corporate (particularly tobacco industry) influences on health and policy.
She has recently been awarded a two-year ESRC-MRC Fellowship to build on this research, further exploring how public health research translates into policy and practice.
