Yellow Basho-Week 1
Time: 22/09/2022
Place: Cafe, ECA
Participants: Jia Ding; Jianhao Lai; Jing-Ting Huang (online); Kate Hudson; Misty Li;
Yinan Lu; Yushan Zhao; Zhiqian Zhang (Sort Alphabetically)
Topic: Collective covenant
Process:
1/ Firstly, I observed that everyone was shy, so I took the role of moderator of group meeting. Jing-Ting Huang had her personal reason that she couldn’t attend the meeting so I shared a link with her in TEAMS.
2/ Then I asked everyone in our group (include Jing-Ting Huang online) to add our elements of covenant to the sharing-board in Miro. We finished that after almost 30minutes. And we have a 10minute discussion to sharing our own ideas.
3/ After, we are divided into four groups voluntary, each group is responsible for one of the four quadrants. We selected the elements which were duplicate and inaccurate. Then we shared our points about the process rotational and finally finished our Yellow Basho’s first meeting.
The difficulties and how to solve:
1/ We were not familiar with the Miro system, which led a long time to start our collective covenant, but after the cooperation, we all knew the function of each button.
2/ Jing-Ting Huang was online-meeting, to ensure that she could hear and join in our discussion, I took my iPad to join in the online-meeting on TEAMS and shared my iPad with everyone, so that Jing-Ting Huang could hear when everyone was speaking.
Our achievement:
1/ Integration of all pre class preparations;
2/ Completed a collective covenant that all basho were satisfied with.

Hi Jia, this is working well. Good to see you posting right away!
Thank you, Professor.
Try adding a picture to your profile. Also consider using Catagories (e.g. you might make a Catagory for meeting on Thursdays)
Ok~ I’ll try it later~
This is a great post, good balance between what you did with some analysis of what did and did not work. Crucially you find ways of “fixing” problems, that’s vitally important.
