MSc Students get Spooky!

Tessie (one of the MSc Students) shares her experiences of the MSc students trip to Mary Kings Close.

Last Wednesday, we had a wonderful ghost tour to Mary King`s Close to celebrate the Halloween.

Mary King`s Close is a warren of underground streets in the Old Town area of Edinburgh, which filled with myths and mysteries. We were guided to visit this mysterious close and heard blood curdling tales of murders and of plague victims left to die, which seemed like back to the time when did these stories really happened.

However, the ghost tour was actually a historical tour because there is evidence to show that all these stories are rooted in fact and come from real history. This tour made we have a better understanding of the old history of Edinburgh and feel the culture atmosphere deep-rooted in this amazing city. It was really a special way to celebrate Halloween and we all enjoyed that.
