Weekly Changes – 29/07/2024

A selection of small changes this week, most sites will not notice much difference. Here are the details of the notable changes…

LCFG Server status app

A new header – lcfg/options/lcfg-server-web.h – has been added which will eventually provide support for the new LCFG server status web app. This is a work-in-progress, there is still quite a bit missing, currently it just installs the necessary software dependencies.

Kernel

The Ubuntu INF_TEST kernel series has been updated to 5.15.0-116.126. On Jammy, the HWE kernel has been updated to 6.5.0-44.44

om netgroup support

The recently-added netgroup support has been enabled for the om utility on all DICE Ubuntu systems.

Dell Poweredge R7615

There is a new lcfg/hw/dell_poweredge_r7615.h header (and DICE equivalent) which provides support for the Dell Poweredge R7615 server model.

Software

There is a new LCFG_OPTIONS_PYTHON_GUNICORN option which may be used to install the python3-gunicorn package for Ubuntu. For Ubuntu Jammy, there is also a new LCFG_OPTIONS_PYTHON_FASTAPI option which may be used to install the python3-fastapi package.

Changes to headers and package lists

Members of the Informatics Computing team can browse all the changes to the headers and package lists.
