Weekly Changes – 18/12/2023

The final release for 2023 is a fairly small one with no changes other than security updates for most sites. Here are the details…

Kernel

The HWE kernel for Ubuntu Jammy has been updated to 6.2.0-33.33, note that support for the old 5.19 series will be dropped soon. The INF_TEST kernel for Ubuntu Jammy has been updated to 5.15.0-91.101, the intention is to update the INF kernel to this version in early January 2024.

nvidia drivers

The Ubuntu Jammy nvidia package list has been reworked again. It should now support nvidia 535 and 470 drivers on all possible kernels in the 5.15.0 and 6.2.0 series and select the appropriate minor versions of the drivers.

Software

There are some new package options for those who want to run the request tracker software on Ubuntu. For both Focal and Jammy there are options for RT4 with mysql/mariadb support – LCFG_OPTIONS_RT4_MYSQL and LCFG_OPTIONS_RT4. For Jammy there is also RT5 support – LCFG_OPTIONS_RT5_MYSQL and LCFG_OPTIONS_RT5.

Changes to headers and package lists
