IAD Research Image Competition

Submit your best image to our Research image competition to be in with the chance of winning a £60 voucher.

The Researcher Development team, at the Institute for Academic Development (IAD), is holding a research image competition, looking for eye-catching images that illuminate the work of research in a variety of contexts.

The competition is open to all postgraduate researchers and research staff at the University of Edinburgh, and the images generated must be the result of research work carried out at the University within the last three years.

The aim of the competition is to find a winning image to be used in our annual IAD brochure for Research Staff and Postgraduate Researchers, along with other promotional materials such as flyers and postcards, with the winning image receiving a £60 voucher.

The brochures are sent to colleagues in Schools/Colleges across the University, to disseminate to our research staff and students at local events and training, induction and welcome events. They are also used by the IAD throughout the year at talks and training events, and the images will be used in both printed paper copies and downloadable resources on the IAD website, so the reach the winning image will have is huge!

We are really excited to launch this competition and see all the research happening across this vibrant and diverse research community, through the images submitted.

If you are interested in taking part in the competition, the deadline to submit an image is noon on Friday 21 June 2024
