We are thrilled to announce the launch of two online questionnaires as part of our ongoing research project aimed at enhancing the experiences of Teachers of Deaf Children and Young People (ToDs) and gaining valuable insights from parents of deaf children in education.
Parent Questionnaire
As a parent, your perspective is invaluable in shaping the educational journey of your deaf child. We invite you to participate in our research study by completing the online Parent Questionnaire. Your input will contribute to our investigation into the ethical dilemmas faced by ToDs. This study is conducted in close consultation with the British Association of Teachers of Deaf Children and Young People (BATOD).

Study Focus: Ethical dilemmas experienced by ToDs
Target Participants: Parents of deaf children in education or those who have completed their education
Deadline: 1 February 2024
Access the questionnaire here. The questionnaire is in British Sign Language and English. Other languages are available on request.
Your participation will help us gain a deeper understanding of your experiences with ToDs and contribute to the improvement of their training and support systems.
Call for Interviewees: ToDs
To ensure a diverse and comprehensive perspective, we are seeking ToDs at all career stages including those who have retired to participate in interviews. This part of our study aims to draw conclusions on how ToDs can be better equipped to handle ethical dilemmas related to their work with families of deaf children.
