Graduates earn £9,000 more a year than workers without degrees

Here’s an interesting news story that we spotted this week based on a Graduate Labour Market Report produced by the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills.

The report looked at the labour market for graduates and non-graduates in England between July and September of this year.  On average, it found that graduates of working age (16-64-years-old) earned £9,000 more per year than those without a degree, and had a typical salary of £31,000.  Postgraduates earned an extra £9,000 a year compared to graduates, with average annual earnings of £40,000.

You can read the news story on the Telegraph website and if you’d like to see the full report this can be downloaded from the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills website.
