In partnership with FASIC & Hart’s Cyclery, Active Lives are offering University of Edinburgh Staff & Students the opportunity to attend a free 2 hour workshop.
What does the workshop entail?
A session with Dave Robertson or Jo Gordon, who are both physiotherapists at FASIC. They have in-depth knowledge of sports injuries, performance and bike-fit assessments.
This session will help you understand some key principles of injury prevention, comfort and cycling performance, providing advice for both on and off your bike.
Then an experienced mechanic from Hart’s Cyclery will talk through and demonstrate some vital elements of simple bike maintenance to help you keep your bike on the road, including a bike M-check, correctly maintaining a chain, and puncture repair. They will also answer any other questions you might have.
This workshop is perfect for you and your bike to get fit, so you can enjoy the summer by keeping active, staying connected, and helping the environment along the way.
Dates of workshops are Tuesday 27 July, Tuesday 2 August and Tuesday 18 August, all from 1200-1400 hrs.
