SCPHRP Seminar No.22-The development and implementation of CAN-EMPOWER– a web based resource to support the psychological wellbeing of people living with cancer

Title – The development and implementation of CAN-EMPOWER – a web based resource to support the psychological wellbeing of people living with cancer.

CAN-EMPOWER is a web resource designed to support the psychological well-being of individuals living with and beyond cancer. The seminar will focus in the co-development of https://can-empower.org.uk/ using the person based approach, and how the team worked with the NHS and the third sector to implement and integrate the resource in practice. Future directions for the resource will also be discussed.

Professor Lynn Calman, University of Southampton

Lynn is a registered adult and mental health nurse and experienced health services researcher.

Over the last 20 years, Lynn’s research has focused on understanding and responding to the needs of people living with and beyond cancer. She has led and collaborated on major research programmes in cancer survivorship/psychosocial oncology leading to widely published, practice-changing findings that have underpinned the development of services and policy to improve the outcomes of patients.
