Poverty and Community Responses

Guest Speaker: Andrew Whittet

In this episode, guest speaker Andrew Whittet talked about the work of Faith in Community Scotland in tackling poverty in local communities. Attendee were encouraged to join in the conversation about some of the practical responses being made to what we hear and see from people with a lived experience of poverty. It was an opportunity for people interested in the impact and effects of poverty to discuss some of the recurring themes highlighted by the communities we work alongside; such as poverty and mental health, the persistence of food poverty and in-work poverty.
