Summary on OER after our yellow basho brainstorming: OER is not only a fascinating technological development, it may be a significant educational, open educational resource project that expands learning opportunities for all, but most importantly non-traditional student populations, thereby expanding participation in higher education.
For “What is OER?” and “What does it take to build an OER”
After the discussion, we collected 6 elements that could be added to the website: (but finally we summed up the 6 into 3)
- Β Videos of part of the class (the people who want to watch it need to pay)
- Artworks of previous students (to show the output)
- Β Link of terminology (dictionary for more understanding)
- it’s functional and requires some free lectures.
- We need to leave room for discussion to manage feedback and some additional fees.
- For courses such as cities, it is best to have a representative video introduction as a promotional note.
