Summary on OER after our yellow basho brainstorming: OER is not only a fascinating technological development, it may be a significant educational, open educational resource project that expands learning opportunities for all, but most importantly non-traditional student populations, thereby expanding participation in higher education.

For “What is OER?” and “What does it take to build an OER”

After the discussion, we collected 6 elements that could be added to the website: (but finally we summed up the 6 into 3)

  1. Β Videos of part of the class (the people who want to watch it need to pay)
  2. Artworks of previous students (to show the output)
  3. Β Link of terminology (dictionary for more understanding)
  4. it’s functional and requires some free lectures.
  5. We need to leave room for discussion to manage feedback and some additional fees.
  6. For courses such as cities, it is best to have a representative video introduction as a promotional note.
