The image below is a scan of a drawing I made in response to an instruction I found in the Edinburgh Sculpture Workshop‘s “Prompt Library”. I don’t have a record of the instruction itself, but it was something along the lines of: make a pencil rubbing of a leaf and then turn it into a magical creature. We accessed the Prompt Library during our Artists’ Toolkits session at ESW – which I have written about in more detail here.
