RAD Lab Director, Dr Lachlan Urquhart, will be speaking at an event on legal, ethical and social challenges of Artificial Intelligence at an event at the Faculty of Advocates in Edinburgh. This is co-sponsored by RSA Fellows’ Media, Creative Industries, Culture and Heritage Network with the Centre for Research into Information, Surveillance and Privacy and the Scottish Centre for Research on IP and Technology Law. This will be at the Faculty of Advocates in Edinburgh on 12th September.
Do please join us to consider some of the legal, social, economic and ethical challenges posed by Artificial Intelligence. This event has speakers including Iain G Mitchell KC FRSA ,Dr Eve Poole OBE FRSA and Dr Lachlan Urquhart.
When registering, attendees have an option to frame a question for the panel so these may be collated and themed where appropriate.
Coffee and biscuits will be available between 17:00-17:20, with the event starting at 17:30.
The meeting format is that each speaker will present a personal perspective. Facilitated debate will follow, initially between the panel but will then be open to participants for observations and questions.
