Thank you to everyone who helped in managing the major internet outage incident on Thursday. It was ‘specially timed to give Myles a scare as he takes over as interim Head of DLAM from the start of May.
You will have seen the news that some of our academic colleagues are embarking on a marking and assessment boycott (MAB). The UCU as a union also includes non- academic membership, but this kind of action tends to focus on their work and the impact it has on students who are waiting for their marks and graduations. Speaking of forms to fill in, if you have 10–15 minutes to spare, our WAC team are currently doing some research to understand how digital design tools support work across the University.
