How to get involved as a family or caregiver

If you have registered with us or contacted us about getting involved in our research, we will email you with a description of the study. We will invite you to one of our labs at either the University of Warwick or Edinburgh depending on where you live. If you are interested in taking part in the study, we will then arrange a suitable time for you to visit.

During your visit to one of our labs, you’ll meet with a researcher who will describe the study for you again. Before we begin any experiment, we will happily answer any questions that you might have and ask you to sign a consent form to confirm that you would like your child to take part in the study.

Your child will also have the chance to play with some toys and feel comfortable in the lab before we begin and can take breaks during the experiment if they need to. Our studies involve a snap game which both children and experimenters have found to be great fun and the whole visit should make for an enjoyable experience!
