We will contact headteachers and nursery managers in Edinburgh and Warwickshire via email or telephone with information about our studies and ask them if their school or nursery would like to take part. We can also arrange a meeting to discuss what the studies involve in more detail and answer any of your questions. If you are happy for your school or nursery to participate, we will give you consent forms to hand out to pupils’ parents to sign to confirm that they would like their child to take part.
We can then arrange a suitable time/schedule for a researcher to visit your school or nursery to conduct the study on all pupils whose parents have given their consent. We will set up the experiment in a quiet room or space that you have free for us to use and will only begin once the child is happy to start and they can take breaks if they need to. Our studies involve a snap game which both children and experimenters have found to be great fun and the whole visit should make for an enjoyable experience!
