Weekly Changes – 01/12/2025

opennebula

Lots more work has been done to bring support for the opennebula server and client configurations to the ed-level headers. There are also now package lists managed with lcfg-soy for version 7.0

Package Repositories

There are now headers for including the optional PGDG and OpenNebula 7.0 apt package repositories in a profile.

The ed/options/ed-site.h header has been changed to reduce the number of optional package repositories that are included by default in profiles now that the repository headers can be included where required.

Kernel

The INF_TEST kernel for Ubuntu Noble has been updated to 6.8.0-88.89

Desktop Headers

Some headers for personal and shared desktop builds have been moved from the uoe devolved area to the ED layer under ed/options/desktop/. They are currently suitable with the School of Maths configurations which will be configured to use these headers. I hope they will also provide a place for us to develop common desktop configurations for Resolute Raccoon next year.

Changes to headers and package lists

Members of the Informatics Computing team can browse all the changes to the headers and package lists.
