Weekly Changes – 22/09/2025

A very quiet week with just a few minor tweaks. Here are the details for the few notable changes…

PostgreSQL

There is new support for the PostgreSQL version 18, see the upstream release notes for coverage of all the changes and new features.

dhcpd

A minor tweak was made to the LCFG dhcpd schema to ensure that the mailmanager resource (which typically comes from the dhclient component via a spanning map) always has a valid value.

Console Server

The logrotate settings for the LCFG conserver component have been tweaked so that the server log files are rotated more frequently and compressed. This should help avoid an accumulation of very large files. Note that this does not affect the log files for the consoles themselves, that is managed separately.

Changes to headers and package lists

Members of the Informatics Computing team can browse all the changes to the headers and package lists.
