Weekly Changes – 14/07/2025

This week brings updates for a few core components. We were hoping to include an update to the LCFG runner component but this has been deferred. Here are the details of all the notable changes…

LCFG k5login component

The k5login component code has been updated to improve the error handling (in particular for when the user doesn’t exist) and to fix issues with setting the group and mode on the generated files.

LCFG autoreboot component

The at_command resource now supports passing command-line arguments (e.g. for -M to prevent it sending mail to the user).

Kernel

The INF_TEST kernel has been updated to version 5.15.0-143.153 on Jammy and version 6.8.0-63.66 on Noble.

perccli2

The perccli2 software is now included in the lcfg/options/raid_megaraid_sas.h header to support tri-mode HBAs.

Changes to headers and package lists

Members of the Informatics Computing team can browse all the changes to the headers and package lists.
