A very quiet week all round. The new Jammy platform has stabilised nicely and is now ready to be used by other sites. Any feedback would be much appreciated. Here are all the notable changes…

Singularity Containers

The new header – ed/options/apptainer.h – now enables the kernel.unprivileged_userns_clone sysctl so that the software will run without the suid helper. Annoyingly, apptainer will not run when the /etc/singularity directory still exists so that has been removed using the LCFG file component.

Changes to headers and package lists

Members of the Informatics Computing team can browse all the changes to the headers and package lists.
