During the month of June the IAD Research Staff Career Consultants will be providing dedicated careers support each week.
“June Careers Month” is intended to complement the core careers programme that Darcey and I offer. We have an exciting programme of events planned with topics including briefing sessions on Career Decision – Making, Narrative CVs, Recruitment Consultant Insights and 1:1 Career Support in the form of “Quick” 20 minute appointments. Of course, our longer 1:1 Career Development Consultations are still available to book during the month of June.
On Wednesday 19th June, the main Careers Service will be holding their annual PhD Horizons Conference, which research staff are encouraged to attend. This is a fantastic event to attend if you are interested in finding out more about other sectors and opportunities. For further information visit https://www.ed.ac.uk/careers/flagship-events/phd-horizons the programme will be available in due course.
We will also be blogging on the IAD4Researchers blog throughout the month so be sure to subscribe to be kept up to date.
Why you should attend:
An excellent opportunity to dedicate time to your professional development. You don’t have to attend all events across the month – pick and choose those that suit your interests and career stage.
