Digimap is an online map and data delivery service, available by subscription to UK Higher and Further Education establishments. Operated by EDINA at the University of Edinburgh, Digimap offers a number of data collections, including Ordnance Survey, historical, geological, aerial photography, LiDAR, marine maps, land cover mapping, global mapping and census data. //All Digimap services will be unavailable between 0900 and 1100 hours on THURSDAY 29 May 2008. This is to enable EDINA to fix a critical problem with the machine which hosts Digimap. Full service will be restored as quickly as possible and updates will be posted on this site, and on the Digimap login page as and when they are appropriate and available.

//On Tuesday 6 May 2008, a new release of Carto was made available through Digimap’s Ordnance Survey Collection. This new release works with both Internet Explorer and Firefox, on Windows XP and using the latest version of the Java plugin.

//All Digimap services and facilities will be unavailable between 0900 hours and 1730 hours on Tuesday 13 May. The machine on which Digimap runs requires some maintenance work which cannot be done “out of hours” or within the duration of a normal “at risk” period. This is why we have scheduled a full day for the work to be done. Unfortunately, it is not possible to run the service while the work is being carried out.
This period of service maintenance has been advertised on the Digimap login page since Friday 11 April 2008. All Digimap site representatives will be notified by email.
