Virtual Coffee Morning Launch – PGR

In June 2022, we hosted our first virtual coffee morning for postgraduate researchers in the field of Second World War studies.

This event was an informal hour of conversation and connection, allowing PGRs to introduce themselves and outline their research to their peers. We were very conscious that the pivot to online conferences and seminars during the pandemic removed the opportunity for the post-event drinks and mid-afternoon coffee breaks that proved so vital for meeting colleagues in our field.

We were delighted to facilitate this opportunity for PGRs to connect, and were so inspired by the breadth of research on display and the openness and enthusiasm from the participants that we will be making online coffee mornings a permanent fixture in our calendar. Please check the Events page for details on how to sign up to the next one!

This coffee morning took place on Thursday 16th June 2022, from 11am – 12pm, on Zoom.
