Glasgow’s Sporting History and Future 2014 – Scottish Centre for Conservation Studies

This exhibition was created to showcase information about the up-coming Commonwealth Games which are being hosted in Glasgow in 2014. This included a map that located and described the venues for the games, the majority of which are existing buildings of Glasgow’s sporting heritage.

Architecture + Design Scotland provided funding to one of our research assistants to carry out historic studies, architectural appraisals and photographic records of a number of these structures in preparation for the exhibition.

The exhibition was displayed that The Lighthouse, Scotland’s Centre for Design and Architecture, between September 2010 and January 2011.
