The Dictionary of Scottish Architects is a public available online database providing biographical information and job lists for all architects known to have worked in Scotland during the period 1840-1980.

For a number of years Historic Scotland has successfully engaged and funded some of our students and graduates to work on the database.  There have been three objects of this research, that has so far included data entry of the following:  Regional boxes held within the SCCS archive, Cuttings from Builder Magazine (regarding Scottish entries) and interviews with a number of Architects.
