Graffiti and the stories behind it

is it art? is it vandalism? is it/can it be both

is it only art in the view of those who choose to embrace it

how does it alter a building

who put it there? why? was there deeper meaning or was it just free wall space?

breathing new life into old things

who decides how it is viewed? whose stories on the topic get told

do we hear the for or the against most commonly shared?

example: western harbour lighthouse

Some have described the painting as “awful” while others believe it is a “creative masterpiece.”
