Seeing the night sky for the first time

This piece talks about the overwhelming atmosphere of where I now lived. I had moved during the winter and as the town is quite high up it was very cold and dark. I tie these physical examples of overwhelm to the overwhelming lonlieness I experienced too.

‘Seeing the night sky for the first time’ refers to how bright the stars looked in the darkness there, as there was far less light pollution than where I previously lived it felt as though I were seeing them for the first time. This was probably the first time I felt fortunate to be there.
