Life, but not as we know it

After a turbulent start of living in Fauldhouse, things seemed to finally be settling. I had to take a year out of Uni and had found myself a job, and my partner was settling into his college course and looking for a job when the virus struck. It felt as though everything was turned on its head (much like the illustration indicates).

The first month of the lockdown felt like a much needed break, but after that it stretched on and no one was sure when it would end. My partner struggled to find work, we were both worried about family and regretted that there was nothing we could do for the older members of our family would couldn’t go out to the shops.

It felt as though when things finally were looking up, we were soon back at the starting point, waiting for the next thing to go wrong.
