Moon Face clones – before cleaning

these 3d prints were a lot smaller than I was expecting – they also had some of the supportive material left on them.

it made me think of the kind of discharge that covers new born babies and as I washed off the excess material I felt like I was bringing these little sculptures into the world. This has made me think of these 3d prints perhaps more as offspring of my original work rather than clones, although the supportive material could also be interpreted as the kind of goo clones in movies are always covered with wen they emerge!

View my work – Moon Face Artivive

If you download the Artivive app on your phone and scan this image you should be able to see the work yourself! – I want to make this into a physical poster, but until then this works as a means to view my work! – Note: make sure to get all and only the image on the phone screen so the app to pick up the image easily as its a bit fussy some times (a bit like a QR code)!

Moon Face Artivive

Although my videos fail to pick it up, the moon face net rotates as well as shivers.

The white net moon is the same size as the line moon on the poster so that when one points the camera directly in forint of the poster the net should appear to cover the line drawing.

I like the black and white net and how it looks with the black and white poster but I want to experiment with different colours before I make make any physical posters.

3D printed frowning face

until you look closely ti is quite hard to tell the difference between the plaster original and the plastic clone. This is really exciting! The print has managed to capture a lot of detail! This tells me that a viewer would be able to hopefully respond to the copy in the same way they would the original. I am interested in now uploading the 3D map to make my sculpture available to a wider audience.

‘Artivive is

The Augmented Reality Platform For Art

This new technology allows artists to create new dimensions of art by linking classical with digital art. The digital layer opens the doors to a whole new world of possibilities. Artists can take visitors on a journey in time and explain what lies behind, enhance the artwork or tell a story. This new world can be unlocked by any smartphone or tablet and offer an extended and emotional experience.

Our solution consists of two parts:

the Artivive app – the visualisation tool

the creational tool called bridge – where you can create the digital layer

  • I think I can used this in my work. I can connect the 3D scanned net to a 2D image that can then be displayed through an app. I may want to consider making some 2d work.
