Typically when viewing this work you are presented with the image of a still silent performer at the piano and that is the image that stays in mind. I think the image of the score, is important, and that is what I will be taking from this influence. The score recalls for me, discomfort, self-consciousness, anticipation and restlessness as I think back to my time in orchestra, I think for people with music literacy it will do the same. I know this is not accessible to all so paired with a textual score, in which silence prompts the unease, I think it will be effective.
