Friday 17th October

Dear All,

Thank you for your work this week.

If you feel like you might be in need of a autumnal-chill LTW hoodie, ask your manager what to do.

It was lovely to see so many of you at our Ada Lovelace Day celebrations. Congratulations to the Ada Lovelace team! Ada Lovelace Day – my reflections – The witterings and musings of a learning technologist

If you have time for one thing today, you may wish to cast your vote in the Colleague of the Year 2025 vote. There are ISG 8 colleagues in the running. Only one from LTW, and that’s Kevin.

If you have time for more clicking there is also a travel survey (around five minutes to complete) and you can enter a prize draw to win one of ten £50 Love2Shop Gift Card vouchers.  Complete the survey

You will have conflicting advice this week. One the one hand you should be decorating for Halloween, on the other hand you should be de-cluttering Where we work.  So I trust you to follow the advice of William Morris “Have nothing in your office that you do not know to be useful, or believe to be beautifully spooky.”

Next week several of you will be at ALT conference. Check out the programme: ALTC25 Programme – Public – Google Drive

If you like to keep up to date on what is going on around the place, there are a few new sharepoint sites to follow: Staff workstream – Home and Supporting Strategic Initiatives – Home  and a reminder that if you are interested you can apply before end October University of Edinburgh Leaving Options – Home

Remember to take your annual leave.
