学園祭の間、日本についてクイズを作りました。たひくさんカテゴリーがあって人々自分のカテゴリーをして違うのラウンドがありましたから。たとえば、歴史とかクイズの質問がありました。質問は、毎回十のが作って色々質問の種類があってまるかばつのタイプをしたり択一のがありました。出席者は学園祭の質問のなくて、いくつかのをもっと分かっただからいくつかのラウンドはもっと人気がありました。時々賞も取れませんでした。それで、もう一度かもう二度人が質問を繰り返しましたから。全体はチームで働くのが大好きでしたが次の時学園祭の日に出なければいけません。
In the school festival, we made a quiz about Japan. There were a lot of categories, each person had their own categories, as there were different rounds. For instance, there were quiz questions on history. Ten questions were created for each round, and attendees knew some questions better than others, so some rounds were more popular. Sometimes they couldn’t even win any awards. Therefore, they had to repeat questions one or two times. Overall, I really liked working as a team, but next time I need to attend on the Gakuensai day.

インタビューの間、日本人学生が文化屋台について教えてくれました。だから、書道の屋台があったのが嬉しかったです。そこにはたくさんの屋台があり、ゲームもありました。私はゲームが苦手ですけど、だからその屋台で書道を学ぶのに多くの時間を費やしました。私たちは墨と書道筆を使い、紙に書きました。私たちは異なる漢字を書くよう指示され、講師がそれぞれの漢字の書き方を示しました。私は書道が本当に好きで、この屋台が一番好きでした。学園祭の中で、これが一番良かったと思います。
English:
During the interviews, some of the Japanese students told me about the cultural stalls so I was really happy that there was a calligraphy stall at the Gakuen-Sai Festival. There was a lot of game stalls as well, but I am not really good at games, so I spent a lot of my time at the calligraphy stall learning how to write the kanji. We were given ink, a calligraphy brush and calligraphy paper. We were given different characters to write, and the instructor showed us how to write each of the kanji. I really enjoyed the calligraphy, and this stall was definitely my favourite. In my opinion, it was the best part of the Gakuen-sai Festival.

My experience of gakuensai was very interesting overall. It was very similar to what we found out in the interviews. The main thing I thought was different was the fact that we were all studying the same degree. In the interviews we learnt that different societies and groups do their gakuensai together, for example the basketball club. I really enjoyed seeing everybody’s stalls, and everyone was very creative. Lots of the food was delicious, and it was nice to share the experience with my friends. My personal role was making questions themed around traditional Japanese culture for our quiz. It was interesting to research. I also learnt that so much of it comes from Chinese tradition, which makes sense, despite the fact we think of things such as the board-game Go as being traditionally Japanese. I thought the gakuensai is a good way to unite students. It must be really fun to do with your friends and the fact everyone is involved leads to a nice sense of community spirit.
学園祭での経験は、全体的にとても興味深いものだった。 面接で分かったこととよく似ていた。 私が違うと思った主な点は、私たち全員が同じ学位を勉強しているという事実です。 インタビューでは、例えばバスケットボール部のように、さまざまな社会やグループが一緒に学園祭を行うことを知りました。 みんなの屋台を見るのは本当に楽しかったし、みんなとてもクリエイティブだった。 たくさんの料理がおいしかったし、友人たちと経験を分かち合うことができたのもよかった。 私の個人的な役割は、クイズで日本の伝統文化をテーマにした問題を作ることでした。 リサーチするのが面白かったです。 囲碁のようなものは伝統的に日本のものだと思われていますが、中国の伝統に由来するものが多いということもわかりました。 学園祭は生徒の団結力を高める良い方法だと思いました。 友達と一緒にやるのは本当に楽しいに違いないし、みんなが参加するということは、コミュニティ精神のいい感覚につながる。
