Frontline workers in outreach were in a unique situation – when everyone else was stuck working from home in front of their screen, they had the run of the empty streets in Edinburgh – something that was obviously more enjoyable when the sun was out. Meeting people outside for a socially distanced walk and a cup of coffee was vital and a way to continue offering support and providing a lifeline for people who were isolated and lonely.

Where should we be located when we work to provide a service?  Who do we share an office with in this world? In a homelessness context, is this an office, a sitting room or something else?  It is perhaps a new office to us but it may have been someone else’s territory for a long time and we should respect that also.
