Promoting a better student experience through design and technology

Learning Technology training for all.

It’s getting to that time of year again. Welcome week is fast approaching and we’re all gearing up for the start of semester. To help staff and students with preparations we offer a variety of online Learning Technology training sessions covering a vast amount of topics. You can view and book all our available sessions from our Learning Technology training pages.

I’m involved mostly with Learn training and we are really stepping up the program throughout September. Learn is the University’s biggest virtual learning environment providing access to course materials, assignments, grades, feedback and virtual classrooms. Learn is used to support face-to-face teaching, blended learning and online courses. The training covers everything you need to know about Learn from the basics to advanced sessions. There is something for everyone.

Supplementing Learn training, we also run Virtual Classroom sessions for Blackboard Collaborate and our new sessions on Zoom, Online assessment and feedback using Turnitin Feedback Studio, and other assessment tools.

We are running a series of Learn clinics where you can come along and ask us anything about Learn. We would be more than happy to answer your questions or walk you through a task that you need help with. The clinic will be open 3pm to 4pm, Monday to Friday in September.

Understandably, this can be a busy time of year so if you are unable to attend a session you can find all our training material and recordings of previous session on our Learn Training and Events page.

Please also see our Learning Technology support pages and do contact us via the IS helpline if you have any questions or need further support.

I look forward to seeing you in one of our session soon!
