グループ6の学園祭

This year was the first on-campus Gakuensai we experienced, since our first one was held online. In preparation for Gakuensai, we were able to choose between doing online and in-person interviews with Japanese students. This gave us the opportunity to ask them about what their Gakuensai was like, such as what stalls and events they had, as well as what their favourite things about Gakuensai were. We discovered that they had many stalls that focused on Japanese culture, such as traditional dances and food, although they would have non-cultural stalls such as talent shows. In the interview, we also found out what their favourite festivals in Japan were, and were surprised by the range of answers. One of the most memorable festivals mentioned was the fireworks festival.

第1回目の学園祭はオンラインで開催されたので、今年は初めてオンキャンパスの学園祭を経験しました。学園祭に向けて、日本人学生へのインタビューをオンラインと対面から選択できるようにしました。そこで、学園祭ではどのような出店やイベントがあるのか、また学園祭で好きなことは何なのか、などをお聞きしました。その結果、伝統的な踊りや食べ物など、日本文化に焦点を当てた出店が多いこと、また、タレントショーなど、日本文化以外の出店もあることがわかりました。インタビューでは、日本の好きなお祭りも聞いてみたのですが、さまざまな答えが返ってきて驚きました。特に印象に残っているお祭りは、花火でした。

We decided to do a karaoke stall for our Gakuensai, which turned out to be quite successful as we got a lot of people to sing together in the end. It was also really amazing to experience everyone else’s stalls and I had a lot of fun interacting with the wide range of ideas and events, and of course the food! Overall, it was a great bonding experience and I look forward to maybe experiencing Gakuensai in Japan next year!

私たちは学園祭のためにカラオケの出店をすることにしましたが、最終的に多くの人に一緒に歌ってもらうことができ、かなり成功しました。また、みんなの屋台を体験することは本当に素晴らしく、様々なアイデアやイベント、そしてもちろん食べ物にも触れ、とても楽しく過ごすことができました。来年は日本で学園祭を体験できることを楽しみにしています！
