学園祭は日本の高校と大学で行われる伝統的な学校行事です。秋に学生はクラス

やクラブのメンバーと屋台設営をします。食べ物や飲み物、ゲームが人気す。「食べ物の屋台が一番好きです」と日本の学生は言っていました。食べ物の屋台には焼きそばやチュロス、たこ焼きが含まれます。大学の学園祭では時々お酒が売られます。「このイベントの目的は楽しみながら、クラスメートやクラブ会員とのつながりを強くすることです。」と日本の学生は言っていました。 

Gakuensai is a traditional campus festival held in Japanese schools and universities. In autumn, students set up stalls with their class or their club. The most popular stalls are food, drink and games. The Japanese students that we interviewed said that their favourite stalls were the food stalls. The food stalls include yakisoba, churros, and takoyaki. University gakuensai’s even sometimes sell alcohol. The purpose of the event is to strengthen bonds with classmates and club members while having fun, as the Japanese students said.  

私たちの学園祭で私のグループはおみくじをしました。もしいいおみくじをひいたら、私たちはおかしをあげました。私のグループの二年生は風船割りの屋台をしました。他の学生はケーキやクッキーを売ったり、ゲームをしたりしました。たとえば、ジャストダンスやカラオケです。「日本の学園祭の最後には花火がうちあがります。」と学生は言っていました。私たちの学園祭の規模は小さかったので、それは私たちはしませんでした。 

At our gakuensai, my group and I had a lottery ticket stall. If you received a good fortune, you got a snack. The second years in our group had a balloon pop stall. Other students sold cakes and cookies and there were games for example, Just Dance and karaoke. In Japan, students said that there is a firework display at the end. Since our gakuensai was smaller, we did not have one.  

学園祭はとても楽しかったです。私はたくさんの新しい人と話しました。日本に行ったら、私は学園祭に行きたいです。とっても楽しみです。 

Overall, the event was exciting, and I spoke to many new people. When I go to Japan, I want to go to a gakuensai. I am already looking forward to it.
