I am excited to present my work on the incentive circuit of fruit flies at the ‘Neural Circuits and Behaviour of Drosophila’ workshop, from May 28 to June 2 at the Orthodox Academy of Crete, in Greece. I will try to clarify how the dopaminergic plasticity rule works and how it creates interesting memory dynamics […]
Adult fruit-flies can learn to avoid odours that are paired with shock, and larval fruit-flies will learn to avoid or approach odours that are paired with attractive or unattractive food. We are modelling the brain circuits underlying these changes in behaviour.
