Turnitin

Turnitin is the name given to a suite of assessment tools supported by the University. These tools are as follows:

– Originality checker. This checks text submitted to a Turnitin submission box against a huge database of previously submitted texts, and the world wide web. It generates an originality score and highlights instances of text matching.

– GradeMark for online marking and feedback. GradeMark allows you to annotate, via a web browser or App, submitted work. It also allows you to enter a grade for the submission (or multiple grades, if a rubric is used).

– PeerMark for peer review of submitted work. PeerMark supports students reviewing a selection of their peers submissions.
