As part of the Teaching Music in the Digital Age research project, we invite students and their parents or caregivers to participate in an interview to share their experiences of music learning.
Whether your child is learning an instrument or you’re a student yourself, we’d love to hear your views, especially about how digital tools (like apps, online lessons, videos, or practice platforms) are being used in music education today. All students under the age of 18 will require parental consent, and interviews will take place with a parent present out of school times.
Ethics and confidentiality:
This research has received ethical approval from the University of Edinburgh.
Before taking part, all participants will be asked to:
- Read a short Participant Information Sheet explaining the purpose of the study
- Sign a consent form (or provide parental consent if under 18)
Your participation is entirely voluntary, and any information you share will be kept confidential and used only for research purposes. Full information will be required before any interviews take place.
Thank you for helping us explore the future of music education. Your voice matters!
