Interview Phase

Share Your Story!

As part of the Teaching Music in the Digital Age research project, we are now inviting teachers, students, and parents to participate in the next stage of the study, which involves a short interview to explore your experiences with digital technologies and instrumental and vocal teaching in more depth.

This project is particularly interested in hearing a wide range of perspectives, whether you're a teacher using new tools, a student learning online or with apps, or a parent supporting your child’s musical journey.

Who can take part?

  • Instrumental and vocal teachers in any setting (private, school, music school, university, community, online)
  • Students of any age who are currently learning a musical instrument or are taking any form of one-to-one singing lessons (parental consent required)
  • Parents or carers of children who are having instrumental or vocal lessons

Why take part?

Your experiences will help us understand:

  • How digital technologies are being used in music lessons today
  • What helps or hinders learning and teaching with digital tools
  • How can we support meaningful, inclusive, and effective music education in a digital age

How to get involved:

We’re inviting people from across the music education community to take part in this research, whether you're a teacher, a student, or a parent supporting a young musician.

Please follow the link that best describes you:
