The main objectives for my asset were to communicate the existing legislation surrounding the provision of allotments for community gardens; to explore how engaging within community gardens can help to allay physical and social isolation, and to generate an interest within my student peers for community gardening.

My target audience that I have identified for this asset are students who live in Edinburgh and Edinburgh locals who may not be aware of the collective action taking place around them. As such, the approach I have taken for this asset is a short documentary as I felt that it would be far more engaging to relate this information through visual media as opposed to a long article. I also felt it important that my audience get to hear from one of the community organisers themselves and the reality of their experience through COVID-19 and what they can see for the future. ”
