The tall tower

The mast installation was the first part of the project.

In summer 2023 the design was finalised and signed-off for going to manufacturing, with delivery and assembly commencing during October 2023. On 8th February 2024 the final lift of the top segment to 100 m.

  • Free standing 100 m
  • Three 1/2" synflex tubing inlets 100 m
  • Two 1/2" synflex tubing inlets 50 m
  • Two 1/4" synflex tubing inlets 100 m
  • One 50 mm HDPE tubing inlet at 100 m
  • One 50 mm HDPE tubing inlet at 50 m
  • Three wind sonics at 100 m
  • Two wind sonics at 50 m
  • Temperature sensors every 10 m
  • Some contingency in place for additional equipment e.g. for local scale flux measurements
